The name for Orange Yoga Mat was inspired by the orange yoga mat I had purchased and had yet to unfurl. Stuck in a thick depression, I knew time on the mat was a step I could take toward wellness. However, for the longest time I lacked the wherewithal to get started.
The orange yoga mat came to represent a step toward wellness through my own choices and actions.
Motivation is hard to come by in the midst of depression. But I was desperate to feel good again.
I’ve struggled with addiction and depression for years. I’ve also worked hard to find the wellness that resides within me. I firmly believe that wellness is our birthright, and that we all have the power to heal ourselves.
Through this blog, I aspire to be of service to those who find themselves, like me, looking for a way to overcome depression, embody wellness, and be more fully alive in their lives. I invite you to join me on the quest for wellness as I share what I try, what works for me, and what doesn’t.
